The Process

Here's how it works:

1. Schedule a call

Once I receive your inquiry, we'll set up a video call to get to know each other and chat about ideas for your wedding!

2. Book your date

Your date is officially booked once I received a signed contract and your 50% retainer. It's all done in an online portal and is super easy!

3) The fun part begins - planning!

I'll start by sending you my elopement planning questionnaire so I can learn all the things and help bring your most exciting elopement dreams to life. (I promise, the questionnaire is actually pretty fun!) Plus, you'll get my client guide, an 80+ page resource that'll help make the process of dreaming up and planning your wedding day simple + stress-free!

4) The details come together.

After I receive your questionnaire, I'll dive deep into research and create your customized location inspiration list. Once I've put this list together, we'll chat on a video call about all the beautiful locations on your list and by the end of our call, you'll have decided what your perfect locations(s) are!

Once we have your dream location(s) set, I'll send you my recommendations for vendors, you'll book your travel and lodging, get your marriage license, you'll get your wedding attire, and we'll put together an epic timeline for your elopement. Remember, if you need any help throughout this process, I'll be available whenever you need me!

5) Wedding day

We get together for your planned adventures, and all you have to do is relax, soak it all in and enjoy your day! You'll be left with incredible photos and wonderful memories of the day you’d always dreamed of having!

6) Sneak peeks and gallery delivery

You'll get a preview of about 15-20 wedding photos within a few days of your wedding so you can start sharing with your friends and family! The full gallery will be finished within 6 to 8 weeks, and you'll be able to print high-resolution photos directly from your gallery.

7) Album design

Let's work together to create a custom album, a tangible and forever keepsake. Made-to-be handheld and gazed at for generations to come. (Worlds better than scrolling through images on your phone!)

Do you travel?

When will I receive my images?

My turnaround time is 6-8 weeks for elopements and intimate weddings, although I’ll always try and get them to you sooner if I can. Adventure sessions are delivered within 2-3 weeks. If the season is particularly busy, these delivery times may change, but I’ll always keep you in the loop if that’s the case. Ultimately, I want to deliver my best possible work to you, and if that means taking a bit longer to make sure they’re absolutely perfect, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!

How many images will I get?

How many hours do we need to have you for?

This very much depends on what kind of locations and activities you want to include. My most popular package is one that gives 8 hours of photography coverage, but there’s no need to decide now. I’ll ask you a bunch of questions at your consultation to get a real feel for what you’d like, and I can easily help you visualize what’s possible. And if it comes down to it, you can always add on extra hours of coverage any time before the day itself.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weddings happen no matter the weather and, in some locations, the possibility of rain or snow can be pretty high. As an adventurous couple, I’m betting you’re the type of people to embrace the weather and just go with it, which is exactly what I would recommend. In my experience, you’ll have the best adventure if you do go with it and it always makes for some incredible photos, too.

Ultimately, what’s most important is what’s happening on that day, and it’s all about capturing your love and the connection you share – come what may. Of course, I will always come up with some backup locations and activities for total peace of mind.

What if we haven’t chosen a location yet?

You, friends, are my favourite kind of people because that means I get to jump in and help you choose! If all you have is a rough idea of what you’re looking for, I will happily put forward some dream locations. I promise, we’ll find you a spot that you’ll be super excited about.

Part of my job as your elopement photographer is getting to know who you are and what places inspire or mean a lot to you, so I start to get a real good sense of what you envision for your day. I’ll then spend hours researching perfect locations you’ll love.
