Autumn & Dewayne’s intimate mountain elopement was truly magical. From kayaking on a peaceful lake, to hiking up to a mountaintop for a sunset ceremony, this day had so much adventure. It was an incredible day to say the least and it’s the perfect example of what a full day adventure elopement can be.

Just six months after they reached out to me, they stood at a mountaintop in Squamish sharing their vows at sunset. They had a full day elopement experience and their day was filled with so many meaningful and intentional details!

SQUAMISH ELOPEMENT IN THE SPRING

Squamish is truly an incredible elopement location. Between stunning waterfalls, gorgeous mountaintops, and even home to Blackcomb helicopters, there are so many jaw-dropping landscapes in this little mountain town.

Autumn and Dewayne were undecided on a location when they initially booked with me, but after getting to know what kinds of sceneries and activities they were envisioning, I immediately thought of Squamish. It would be the perfect place to explore, go hiking and kayaking, while being able include their two doggos!

Autumn, Dewayne and their two adorable dogs Lyra & Kovu eloped in Squamish on one of the most gorgeous spring days we had here in British Columbia. It was mostly clear and sunny, with a brief period of rain while they were kayaking (though the photos with their umbrellas out on the lake are absolutely stunning). We were gifted the most beautiful golden light at sunset followed by a clear sky filled with billions of stars.

They began their day with getting ready together at their Tiny Home Airbnb. This gorgeous property in Squamish was nestled between a mossy old-growth forest, with an adorable swing set up between two trees!

They put on their wedding attire and details separately and we helped set up their first look among the mossy trees. After their first look and some fun on the swings, we headed to Alice Lake for kayaking and a little picnic. Since the kayak rental booth at the lake wouldn’t be opening for a few more weeks, they reached out to another company to privately rent kayaks for a few hours. This also meant that we had the entire lake to ourselves!

Following the kayaking adventure, we headed to hike to a stunning mountain viewpoint for their sunset ceremony. They hadn’t been to this location prior to their elopement there and were blown away by the stunning views! They had a beautiful commitment ceremony with a few loved ones while the sun was setting.
