Chilliwack Lake Adventure Session
This Chilliwack Lake adventure session was one for the books. Monica & Liam were one of the most easy-going and effortlessly photogenic couple’s we have had the pleasure to photograph. Plus they felt like old friends from the moment we met them.
Their session happened to fall on one of the summer evenings during the extreme heat wave in BC – I’m talking 40+ degrees, stay in your house with the AC blasted kind of weather. Luckily for us, we had decided on this stunning lakeside location that was so much cooler than the mainland. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect summer day to go on an adventure with these two.
Monica and Liam’s love for adventure and being in nature brought them together. It was only fitting to spend an evening celebrating the start of a new chapter adventuring in the mountains. We drove through the Chilliwack Lake forest service road to the end and the sun had just set behind the mountains – we had this beautiful, soft light for the rest of the evening. I live for sessions like this. Barefoot, dirty dresses, wind-blown hair and wildly-in-love couples.
We explored into the evening and decided spontaneously to lay on the side of the dirt road past midnight, sharing stories and gazing up at the sky looking for shooting stars. And on our way home, we got to witness the moon rising over the other end of the lake – it was truly incredible. These really are the best kind of evenings – exploring a gorgeous place with two wonderful people and capturing their love for one another. If you’re dream of a beautiful mountain and lakeside location for your engagement session, Chilliwack Lake is definitely one to to consider!
